Seismic City — For the Twelves

Inspiration Behind the Song

A note from Steve—

I guess you could say I’m a bit of a Seahawks fan. Former season-ticket holder, lifelong member of the 12s, and just your average, everyday, red-blooded American guy who enjoys football, both college and NFL.

My wife would probably be a football widow if she weren’t somehow even more Seahawks-crazy than I am.

One day, for reasons I can’t even remember, I went online looking for a Seahawks anthem and came up with a big fat goose egg. So, on a lark, I decided to write one myself.

Over the course of a single weekend, fueled by early-morning coffee and a general willingness to be ridiculous, I wrote TO THE POWER OF 12 and, with a little AI magic, produced the finished song. A couple of weeks later, I showed my mad-scientist creation to a few friends, not expecting much of a reaction.

Instead, the response was overwhelming. The song started catching fire and getting passed around among friends and colleagues. That’s when it occurred to me that a few like-minded fans might enjoy hearing it too.

So, here it is.

Go Hawks!
